Can I find out whether we will go to Level 3 tomorrow by reading my tea leaves? Tasseography was popular in the 1800s. However, my bent is more scientific so I will look at COVID case heat maps.

Back in Level 4 lockdown again. I’m wondering why children can’t be vaccinated and whether they should be.
Comparing lockdowns
Lockdowns have varied across the world in their severity. In some countries people can’t go further than 100m from their houses or exercise at all. As countries come out the other side of their infection curves restrictions are reducing, as in New Zealand. However, the USA has not yet got on top of COVID, not surprising given their variable approaches. But maybe they haven’t all swallowed bleach yet…
Still holding…
We are still holding our breaths but the Ardern & Bloomfield Show tomorrow will tell us whether we will be stepping down from Level 4. What do you pick? What do I pick? I’ve looked up the factors that are likely to be taken into account.
Staycation
How many lives have we saved by having an Easter lockdown so no one has died on the road? The problem with reducing the risk of death ad infinitum is a boring life which still has death at the end of it.
Coronavirus tea party
We had a tea party with our nearby bubble mates – friends living in our barn, using a 2 metre separation as measured by our 1.8 metre table.
Can I rent an optimist for my bubble?
